Default Trs Vertical Shaft Dimension

Hi folks , can someone give me the diameter of the vertical shaft were the pinion bearing rides on a trs lower unit ? Mine measures 1.308"Is that correct ?

can anyone give me this information .my drive builder has a concern about some play existing on lower vertical shaft at the pinion.

Sorry I just put my drive together last week so I can't give you the exact answer you want.How ever I can tell you the bearing is a Torrington AG49089 if you have a 77'-93'.You should be able to find the shaft size for that bearing somewhere on the internet.Just type in Torrington Bearings and you will get a lot of suppliers that should have your answer.Does the shaft look worn in that area?Can you mic the shaft right above where the rollers run to see if it differs?That shaft is no longer available from Mercury.It was $350.The bearing is available though,$106.00.There are some shafts on ebay but who knows how worn they are.There are even some complete drives for $950.If you want to look on ebay go to Boat Parts and Accessories,then type in trs.

Thanks for the info .The guy building my drives would of measured further up the shaft were the bearing doesn't run .He's on holiday for a week will get back to him .
