Default Drive oil Leak??

Hey guys I have a 94 38 Fountain Fever stock 502/465hp...Bravo 1. I have the new style (I think??) Not the big Gear oil resovoir that look like a sports water bottle, Mounted on the transom. My question is Im leaking gear oil were ever the hose hooks up to the drive. Its very tight and I cant see all the way to the bottom, It looks like the only way to get to it is pull the engine. Can i just leave the bottle empty and put a little in the bottle every once in a while? to make sure its topped off? All summer long i never have to put a drop of oil in the bottle. Will any oil come out of the drive it self? I dont want to be a half as% rig job but i also dont want to pull the motor for nothing. What would you guys do????????

The bottle should just lift upward off the bracket. It can't be that tight in a 38 Fountain. Replace the bottle. If its low, it will set off the alarm.
