Thank you, Darrell, an efficient cruising speed is my performance goal, because 90% of time I cruise at 30/35 knots and I would like to have my best efficiency in this range.
About my top speed, listening to MercuryPropSelector, it should be 57mph at full load (1500lbs people and gear, 200 gallons fuel) , and 64mph at minimum load (500lbs + 25 gal). |
as long as the top speed is around the 65ish, B3 is the best choice, above 65 the bullet will cause the rear prop to blowout and loose all efficiency, but it will give the best hole shot and cruise as stated.

Maybe the New Bravo Three 4 blades front prop could be better for high speed efficiency, always remaining the best choice for medium range cruise.

Someone told me BravoThree's have overheating problems at high speeds.
Is it true? Maybe I could use drive's shower to solve this problem. |

After 28pitch props (going 56mph @4300) I tested a new set of 26pitch props, with good results:
The hole shot is better, with less effort for the engines, and at same cruise speed the fuel consumption is 5% less. Not remarkable changes about top speed, always 57/58 mph at 300rpm plus (4700rpm). I'm going to test also a set of 24 pitch prop but I don't if Standard, Cupped or Four Blade Front Prop. What do you think about? |
