Does the unit go into reverse? If it does that wil more or less negate an issue with the shifter and point you at the clutch packs being bad. Is this a new boat for you, or just a problem that just started? Did it ever slip in the past?

I have a 71C that needs to be rebuilt, but it was a 925 Huber Built Tranny. If you are interested in a spare or something, send me a PM. Excellent exterior condition, looks new. Good Luck. It was from my old Cigarette Mistress
