Default Imco 1000 ?????

does any body have these ,or any info on them ??

I am thinking of 800 + HP in front of them in a 9000# boat.

Would they be ok or no ????

INPUT please !!!!!!!

The thing is i don't want to stick #6's on it because of the weight .

Daredevil,
Are you referring to the SCT? It used to be called the 1000 if I remember correctly. And uses a transmission in a standoff box for the shifting.
I have not heard any stories of use on these to veryify their success.
You might better look at the SCX for cost and weight. I have a friend with a 36' boat running 825hp with Vortech charges and he is very happy with them so far. Not sure how much time on them as of this summer.
If you head that route or any Imco, let me know I can work up a price for you..

Is that the one where they combined an XR lower unit with the SCX upper? If not, what changes in top end did he see?

Did you take them apart and cryo the internals and blueprint them first?

Anxious to hear since the x-power thing seems to be off in neverland and going Arneson requires that I completely re-rig my boat which as much as I would like the Arnesons, I don't want to do.

Thanks

2112,
they are all SCX, uppers and lowers. Ended up with the -2" (regular length) and he is running just as fast as he was with the XR's.
I did not touch them, they are stock. Have not talked to him for a few weeks, but I have not heard of any problems.

I don't think the boater that combined them ever did chime in.
