Default Drive lube capacities

Rookie question...

How much gear lube does a Bravo XR hold?

Does anyone have a chart or something similar? I bet other people may be curious as well.

Thanks!!

My bravo X's hold almost 4qts/each. I would double check that amount. 32oz/qt.

My Bravo I always held between 2 3/4 and 3 quarts, never would hold a full 3 quarts though.

I better check again because I just changed my X drive and it only took about 2 1/2 gts. I did not change the bottle though.

Thank for all of the info. Does anyone know for sure? Did Mercruiser ever have a rating for the capacity?

I thought of another question - is the Quicksilver High Performance Gear lube the same as Mercruiser? I am looking to change the lube after having a new XR installed after about 10 hours.
