Default New Gimbal Bearings

I ordered 2 new sets of gimbal bearings for a pair of XR Drives, the part # was for Mercury red dot bearing but I got a white dot bearing. All the measurements are the same on the new & the old bearing, the only difference is the new bearing is a sealed bearing and the old bearing is a grease able bearing. I called the parts supplier who then called Mercury & Mercury said it is the new & improved replacement bearing. I might be a little old fashion but it seams to me that a grease able bearing is the better choice. Does anyone have any info on this new bearing?

No one has used the white dot sealed bearing in place of the red dot grease able bearings? I am at a stand still, not sure if I should use them or not.

All the new bearings sealed, doesn't seem like a good idea to me hopefully they are filled with miracle grease,I guess we will be replacing gimbal bearings with regular drive service, only time will tell

New maybe, inproved only for mercury because sales will be way up !!!!!!!!! This new bearing must have been designed by the accounting department NOT the engineering department .
