Good luck with your project, the results can be very rewarding. Here is a before and after from the last refinish I did.

Just remember if you get paint on the mating surface you will change your shim values enought that you should re shim the drive.

Looks awesome. Do you have a code on the silver?

Good point about the mating surfaces. I'll have to make sure to clean it back to raw aluminum.....
