water pickup

I'm installing thruhull pickups going to strainers, no heat exchanger or chillers can I just plug off the water supply from the drive and just use the thruhulls for cooling the engines. I have a drive shower.

You need to run water through the drives to keep them cool. Run a dump through the hull to dump the drive water.
