New drive , question about XR hub

Just changed over from Bravo I to XZ drive, got an XR/XZ hub but putting on the prop theres a good 1/4" slop between the prop and nut.
What am I missing?

thanx

Probably the bellvue washers that go between the prop & nut. There shold be 2 of them that are dished. ;) Jamie / Lakeside

My hub has 3 washers 2 large previous post and one thinner one that goes on last. Check mercrusier parts, should have a photo break down of the parts. If the link works check item #40 http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show_...One+XR%2FXZ%29

Correct sequence is Large thick washer, concave washer then the smaller flat.
