Bravo One Trim-in Limit?

I've searched for a while now, and I'm still confused on how far the trim-in limt should be (i.e. how far down the drive should go)
I measured from bolt-center to bolt-center on the trim arms, and read almost exactly 21 inches. Maybe just few 1/32's over. It looks like the hydraulic rams have been compressed even more in the past (see picture, paint missing), and at the current setting the trim angle looks high compared to the bottom edge of the boat.
Is this correct, or should the drive trim-in further? I've played with the trim limit switch, and it doesn't seem to affect anything. It may be bad, although the drive does go up and down with no problem. I'm just concerned about the position when it's down.

Any idea what would keep it from going all the way down? I've had the trim cyl's off, and the drive will drop on down with no binding, and there's no obstruction. Is there too much fluid in the system or something?

You're probably right. I was noticing in a Bravo service manual it said to do the following,...
1) raise drive up
2) put trailering collars on the ram arms (Quicksilver type)
3) disconnect the upper trim hydro supply line
4) toggle the trim down with the switch
5) The resistance with the collars on the arms will force fluid past the "shock pistion" assembly,...if it's defective,...out of the upper trim hydro supply line.
6) If no fluid comes out,...it's supposedly okay.
Then I'll need more advice

Hi, On this link read page 3-5 In that area you should have a white plastic stick there You need to make sure it's in the right area for your drive, Bravo 1 & 2 go one way & B 3 goes the other way, If it's in wrong it will do what you are saying.

I think that only applies to 1997 and newer. This unit is a 89 model. Just a round hole.
