Here is the baseline: Standard Bravo drives, labbed 32" Bravos, a high X-dimension, 90/91 mph. I have the drives off of the boat, and have been thinking about adding nose cones to see if I could pick-up 2 mph.
I am not a machinist, so some of the nose cones, such as Hardin, Imco, and Hydromotive require machining. Bob's Machine shop has a nose cone with the low water pickups, cost is $434 or $510.
What has worked for any OSO brothers out there? What did you gain in mph. Keep in mind my drives are high. I may be looking a set of P5-X props fro next season too.
Opinions, suggestions, real world experience...let me know thanks.
