Just wondering about prop prices for them, looking at a boat that has those drives.

Default Prop Prices

I just picked up and old Cigarette Mistress with SSMIII's, and have been doing similar legwork. If you are content with three blade props, you can have a pair for of lower pitch models for 1200 or so. There is a set of 17.5x31's listed for $1800. Four bladers with 19 spline hubs are scarce, but you can run 26 spline props with adapters. This is the way I am going, and here is my logic:

I'm spending about $4000 for a set of 4-blade nearly-new re-worked 17x31.5's. I am going to be installing 1000 hp motors. I know the III's aren't going to live past about 80% throttle, and I may put in some mechanical stops until I upgrade the drives to make sure I don't get carried away and end my season, but we don't run real hard or abuse the equipment much anyway. When the drives blow, I can go straight to a IIIA or V setup with a spacer, and I don't have to re-buy props.

If you are interested in 3-blades, Doller offshore has a pair of 3-blade 16.5x32's that they want 1200 for.

I have a set of 16.5x26 three blades that I am trading in on my new ones, and the shop is giving me $500 against them. The have a couple small dings on the leading edge, but nothing major. They are boxed up and ready to ship. I'd take $600 for mine if buyer pays shipping.

I also have a single 16.75x29.5 RH 4-blade 19 spline that is a heavier build (800 hp blades?), if you were looking for a single, or find a lone LH that is close enough to be worked into shape.
