Blackhawk on a single vee?
#1
Looking to improve handling on a 24' sunsation and would like to get some input on how people like the drive on a single vee application?
Top speed, part availability, etc isn't nearly as much of a concern as being able to lay on the throttles thru a tight turn!
Also considering the DPX.
Last thing...anyone run a blackhawk on an extension box?

What's on the Sunsation now? What x dimension?
Blackhawks were very sensitive to hull shape. They worked well on boats with lots of rocker. Not so much on straight bottoms. I tried one on a Wellcraft Scarab with a 525 -- dangerous! Went back to Bravo.
DPX never went fast in my experience, but had good mid-range and worked well on slower boats.

Faster - what was your x dimension when you ran the bh? My understading is also boats with rocker took to these drives the best but straight bottoms work as well so long as the x dimension is dialed in. If you don't have an x-dimesion do you know where the nose was in relation to the bottom of the boat?
