Default Slop in gimbal ring

Yesterday when I had my B1 drive off replacing the shift boot I notice some play in the horizontal gimbal pins for the trim. The steering pins seem tight...

Is any play acceptable and if not what is the best method of repair?

i remove the trim and drive limit switches and found both hinge pins was backed out and flush with gimbal ring....They were both about 2 turns loose!
I torqued them to 150 ft. pds..
Does that destroy the switches since the hinge pins backed out?
