Default Bravo 1 power trim problem

Here’s what I got. My drive will trim out with no problem when I go to trim the drive in it sounds like the battery is dead and will not trim in. If I hold the button in or hit the button a couple of times it will go. I have two buttons to trim the drive in one on the dash and one on the throttle. The trim acts this way with both buttons. I checked batteries and are fully charged with no problems. Also I checked the connections on the trim and they are all tight with zero corrosion. All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

There is an up solenoid and a down solenoid on the trim pump assembly. First thing I would check is the down solenoid.

Use a jumper to jump across the big poles on top to determine which solenoid is which up or down. If the drive moves down every time you jumper across the poles then you probably have found the problem. Then either replace the down solenoid or swap the down solenoid with the up solenoid and see if the problem goes away.

The throttle shifter switch should be wired to the dash switch with a diode kit. I would guess that you might have a short between the dash switch and the trim pump.
