Default Adjustable standoff box

If i was able to build a standoff box that allowed the driver to adjust the drive height up and down while under power what would be a good range of motion? How many inches up and down?

Are you talking about somthing for a outboard? I have not seen anything like that for a sterndrives. How about + or - 3".

Yes the sternjack is similar but my idea makes the standoff box and drive independantly adjustable

Stainless Marine made one for Rick Turmel about 10 yrs ago. Brownie should be able to comment on this.

yes I was thinking the same thing, I think his drive was a #4 but could be wrong I talked to rick back then. and 3'' sounds good, low to get on plane then move up 3'' bingo. or buy a Arneson 7 drive.
