Default outdrive slow raising and lowering

boated all day on saturday with know problems until we put boat on the trailer. the outdrive was very slow to go up and still wouldn't go all the way up. looked everything over this morning no leaks and trim resovior was full in down postion. it still was very slow up and down. any tips on what i need to do.

Reservoir should be full no matter what position the drive is in. As oil goes out oil comes in at the same rate. Any way what drive set up have you got?

with drive up resovoir was to the low line

As the trim motors get older you can get corrosion on the brush contact surfaces of the rotor. You can remove the end of the motor, clean up the surfaces (copper) with a wire brush or fine grit sandpaper and it will speed right back up.

Oil could also be getting old and on the thicker side. I blew a line on one last year and when I put fresh oil in, it was faster than the other side. Replaced the oil in that one and now both are pretty equal.
