Default Broke upper gears again!

This is the second time in 14 months that I broke my drive, and I need to go with something stronger. It is a standard Bravo drive with 1.5 ratio and DWP. It is the newer style drive with a serial number starting with OW. The engine is a 502/565 hp. Boat is a 2005 Velocity 260. I am easy on the throttle out of the hole , but do run in rough water about 50% of the time and do my best to make sure I'm off the throttle when airborne. The upper gear set is what is breaking.
Would an XZ or XR be a better drive for my set up?
I have heard the XR will be a little slower and I really hate to loose any speed.
I am not sure which way to go, but something has to change as this is not holding up.

Get an IMCO SCX upper and be done with it.
No more broken upper gears.

On second thought... an XR is rated at 600hp. I had no problem with a XR behind my stock 600sci.

Call George at All American Outdrive... He built my XZ's for my sonic. We Cryo'd and rim polished them along with some other goodies. Still running stong and we run it hard on the big lake (michigan). his number is 517-270-3203. BTW, he offers a 2 year warranty....

B-Max is rated for 850 hp. Made by the brovo shop. I don't personally know anyone that has one.

When I repowered my Donzi 22 Classic from a 496 HO to a 525 EFI the Bravo 1 lasted 7 hours. I put on an XR/Imco shorty and it is going strong so far for almost two seasons. The XR is a lot cheaper than some of the more exotic drives and seems to be plenty strong for the power levels that you and I are running. If I were you I'd be all over the one that t500hps has.

a xz is stronger than the bravo, and will last longer than a xr if not over powered, plus you wont loose any speed and they are cheap.

My XZ gears lasted 20 hours (600SC)
The bravo one I bought the boat with .. 2 months
I`m hoping the Teague XR will last much longer than that.

The All American outdrive warranty is great piece of mind thou.
My Teague was already in the mail when I found them..

Heres the Cryoed, polished XZ gears
