Default Nose cone needed?

At what point is a nose cone needed?
With my latest engine drive combo I am seeing mid 80's at any point, but have not seen 90.
I am running 800+HP with a XR upper and Bravo 1 lower standard with DWP only. My prop shaft is 1 1/2 to 2 inches below the bottom on a 28 Active thunder.
Running a stock 28p Max prop.
Do I lab the prop first for more or will a nose cone help?

Suprised I didn't see this back then but I will say that my boat a few years ago when it had less hp (950 vs current set-up) would run 92-93 light and 89-89.5 loaded with a very well blended hydromotive nose cone, My spare drive that did NOT have a nose cone and WAS dwp would slow boat down, it would barely go around 87 running light, fwiw, Smitty
