Looking for pair of new IMCO SCX upers
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a pair of new IMCO SCX uppers, helmuts, gimble rings, and all the associated hardware. I will be mounting them to a pair of ITS boxes and have Sportmaster lowers. Please PM me with prices and breakdowns if you have them. Thanks, Tom |

Oh no.... Your staying with the Bravo's?
I have been doing research down both avenues and have seen great results from those that own the SCX's. It is far cheaper for me to keep what I have and just upgrade the upper. I already have a Sportmaster lower with race gears already. There is a $20-25,000 difference I need to consider. I am not making any changes until the new year. |
While I was looking forward to seeing what the Donzi would do with a set of Arnesons on it, looking at SCX's as well is a good idea. A few guys running well over 1000hp through them, and I havent heard of an upper failure yet. An upper is on my upgrade list as well.

I'm thinking of up grading to the SCX uppers to go with the SC lowers I have. How many units do you think we would have to buy to get a deal direct from Imco thru one of their dealers?

I've got my helmets and some other parts on order for the SCX change. For those of you on the cusp of ordering, there will be a cost increase within the next couple of weeks. They told me about 3%.

If someone could ever offer a decent bravo to surface drive conversion at a reasonable cost, I cant imagine how many would be sold! Think about all the bravo boats out there with folks puking them every year...
Yes, the Arneson is actually the same price or less expensive than a Bravo setup IF it is installed when building the boat because it includes the tranny, transom assembly, new helm, and drive. But most people dont want all of that, since they already have it, they just want to bolt something onto their existing transom assembly that is stronger than what they have. I would love to have an Arneson, if I knew it would work the way I hoped on a single engine vee. |
