Default Drive Showers

I decided to go witht he Simrek showers for my Bravo Drives. Has anyone powder coated them for a different look? Any reason why this is not a good idea?

I have the Halo Max drive showers. When I installed them, you have to apply a little force on them. This causes them to bend a little. I would think that a powder coat may crack. I would NOT powder coat it.
