Default Soda blasting

Have any of you ever soda blasted the drives when they are assembled? Is there anything to be concerned about if I soda blasted them like this? Soda getting into the drives?

I have some TRS drives where I need to strip the paint off and I really don't want to take them apart to strip and paint them.

Any experiences is appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon

I can't see any reason to not do it. Mask off the stuff you don't want soda in & go for it.

I had a pair of drives done. Don t need to do anything. Completly safe just gotta wash them down with a neutralizer. Before paint prep.

What type of nutralizer did you use?

And if you don't neutralize properly you will have a flat matte finish that looks like crap. Friend had his drives soda blasted and then had some one paint them that did not do the neutralizing process. A lot of hard work done for nothing.
