Nope, this serial number is not a Hi Performance transom assembly.

This serial number belongs to a 2004 MERCRUISER ALPHA TRANSOM W/ENGINE ALPHA TRANSOM, Model number 6111001LS

ALPHA ONE, GEN II STERNDRIVE AND TRANSOM ASSY = standard assembly.

Good luck.

lakematdude,

Thank you. I will call the owner to verify the numbers again, because I know its not an alpha. If you dont mind me asking, where do you find this info out, or do you have to be a dealer or something? Thanks again for taking the time...

the HP units have hinge pins and do not use the standard trim sending unit location.

If the # is correct it is an alpha transom assembly. Or it could be a scam, mis-information etc....

Below is how that sn# cam up in our merc system..

If you need a new TA, I can get them & ship them too you.. Mer's prices aren't too bad on them these days..

It is possible that it is an Alpha that has been converted. The naked gimbal housing is pretty much the same. A few years back before Mercury changed the price structure on the engines & drives it was done frequently. Now it does not make any sense to do it. But for sure that serial is an Alpha. We do have new factory gimbals on the shelf.
