Tie Bar Touching Mufflers
LOOKS LIKE THE MUFFLERS WILL COME IN CONTACT WITH THE TIEBAR.
I TOOK MEASUREMENTS AND LOOKS LIKE WHEN DRIVES ARE ALL THE WAY UP.TIEBAR WILL HIT GIBSON CLAMP ON MUFFLERS.:eek:I HAVE IMCO HYDRAULIC STEERING WITH TIEBAR.HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM.IS THERE A REMIDY.THANKS |
You can put spacers in your trim cylinders to reduce the amount your trim cylinders extend. Merc part No. 15768A3

I have gaffrig switchable mufflers on mine and the tie bar hit when it was mounted to the top of theplate that's bolted to the drive. I pulled the bolt out and mounted it to the bottom side. Works fine

Yes, that I know. For some odd reason was thinking when in fully trimmed position, not trailered trim.
Have you considered the tie bar that mounts at the rams? |
I have IMCO steering center triangle plate.Tiebar will hit in trailer mode.Is it OK to remove tiebar and locate to the lower ram connection on the drive using the sadles????Has any one been there before with this situation??
