Default 1.5 BI upper & B3 lower

If I mount a 2.43 B3 lower to 1.5 BI upper what the ratio will I end up with?

Looking at the charts, assuming you have 32/27 upper gear set, and the BIII has 13/24 lower gear set (diesel BIII), the end ratio comes out to a 2.186:1..

Hope that helps..

Thanks Mr Gadgets

How fast are guys going with B3 set ups? I think Merc says the B3 is good to about 60 but I would think some guys are alot faster.

Does the B3 work with higher X dimension? I'm @ 4.5" below now & not having great results pulling tubers in sharp turns w/ the B1 & various props.

2.1875 is the overall ratio doing the math.

The B3 has alot of drag, I dont know of anyone using it and going fast..
The old blackhawk was another story. I know of one guy that cut a Bmax in half and welded on the Blackhawk lower and it went fast and held up pretty well.. from what I heard.
