continuity washer
In my Seloc repair manual which covers my bravo 1 drive it shows a photo of the proppeller assembly. It shows a continuity washer between the prop and the splined lock washer. I never noticed this before and ran the boat last year without this washer. Can anyone tell me what it's function is and if it's necessary to install one. Thanks.

It's to help control the corrosion issue from having dissimilar metals, SS prop and alum. housings, by making sure they are in good contact. Does same thing as those small twisted SS cables you see screwed to the sides of your trim cyls., bell housing and gimble ring. If you trailer and don't leave your boat in the water, you can go w/o it.
