Default B 1 not fully engaging

B1 when I shift it inti reverse it engages for a second and the disengages and the engages and so on and so forth, NO grinding gear sounds. Cable is adjusted all the way and when I test it not running and I shift it in the prop will free spin for about 1.5 revolutions and then it grabs. It is also vary hard to shift and it is in the drive, I had the drive off and the cables were easy the move or shift. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Eric 815-708-5658

There is a large detent ball (look behind the front cover). Its either dry...or needs replacing. Piece of cake to change. Make sure you grease it up really good. Oh...and stop shifting it when its not running unless you have to. Part #4 sir.

Ok...lol...toss that idea. I had one that was tight awhile ago, and it had a slight bend (very slight) in the cable right around where it mounts to the bracket on the motor. I must have leaned on it. Gave it a tweak back, and it was smooth after that. See if you see any kinks or slight bent areas.
