Hey everyone,
Pulling the #6's off the Apache this weekend to send them out to be resealed and gone through. Any helpful tips or tricks you pros have to offer. Have lots of experience with TRS drives.
Used to muscling those on/off by hand, from what Ive heard thats not happening with a 6. I have a boom lift, so thats not a problem.
Do the 6's use a gasket between the helmet and the drive or just the o ring seal? I am sure these can get stubborn especially if they have been in salt. We want to change the drive bellows while were at it, any tips/tricks on that? Do you do it with the bellhousing still on or pull the hinge pins to make it easier?
What else is critical to look at and check for when going over the 6 transom assembly?
Thank you,
Brad Harbold
