Can you measure the gear ratio on a bravo 1 by turning the input shaft and counting the Number of turns on the prop shaft like you can on a car rear. Thought maybe because of the cone clutch type drive it might not be accurate?????????????anybody.I'm trying to find out if I have 1.50 0r 1.37 gears in my buddys boat and the drives are on the boat in the lift. Better to turn the prop shaft 10 times and count the input, then divide input/output. So 10 prop, 15 input = 1.5. 10 prop 13 1/2(about) input = 1.35
It's really hard to tell turning from the input end.
