I have a question.
Can i put a speedmaster IV drive on a normal
Bravo Transom?or do i need a special transom?
Have a friend, he will give me a speedmaster IV drive.
At the moment i have a scarab 22 with a 496 HO with
a bravo 1 drive.
Can i change the drives without the transom?
What do you mean works a speedmaster 4 on a
Scarab 22 with 496 HO ?

The number 4 needs a transmission. The motor would have to go forward and it's heavier then your current setup. I would say it's not worth it for that small of a boat.

You would need to remove the bravo gimbal and replace it with the speedmaster gimble, which involves cutting the transom opening larger. If you did not want to move the engine forward, an extension box could possibly be used to house the transmission/velvet drive setup. Basically everything from the bellhousing back needs to be replaced.

You'll need to re-rig the whole bilge and transom.

Just i think its really not worth to do that.
Tomorrow i can take a look at the drive.
Must check out whats inclusive in the drive
and how mutch must i pay for it.

Not to pile on, but going to a SSM drive with less than about 600 hp, you'll probably lose speed due to the big gears slogging through 9 quarts of oil, the transmissions, and the extra weight of it all.
