We have SCX uppers and lowers on our 42 w 1000's...yes you do scrub a lil speed..but the peace of mind is worth it. You can also send your SCX lowers to Wilson Marine in FLA..they can blueprint them...and you get a few MPH back.

IMCO is also in the works of another SCX/SCT setup...the new lowers is MUCH better than the current SCX lower. I dont think anyone knows if it will bolt up to existing SCX uppers though.

Is it only the SCX lowers and not the uppers that cost some speed?

BTW..... Nice boat. I've seen a bunch of pics of the boat's progress at the RF shop. I spoke with Reggie III and want to send my 35 up there.

Thank you!! The whole combo (Upper and Lower) scrub speed due to the larger gear set. However, the lower is the bigger culprit I believe.

Send it to RF...they will dial it in and get every MPH out of it!!!
