Drive oil

Default Drive oil

I took my boat out this sat,i topped off the drive oil before we headed out, then sunday i checked all my fluids and the drive oil was about empty, couldn't find any leaks . Any thoughts ?

Was this the first time out for the year after a drive service? If so it is common for the level to drop.

yes it was the first time out ,but haven't had a service on it yet just got the boat over the winter .

I would pressurize the drive and see if it holds.

Person you bought boat from may have had it serviced. Thus reason for being low on oil. Fill it back up and watch it. If it goes low again you have a leak. The leak I had was leaking into the standoff box.

Mine did this too, I just bought the boat and hav had it out 5-6 times. it went from the full line, to the add line. just topped it off again, and will watch it for another drop.
