Has the boat been sitting and then you filled up the bottle? I notice that if my boat sits for the winter and I check the level in the bottle it is a bit low. Run the boat for a bit and it comes back to full or normal. Just a thought....

Check the little one way rubber valve under the cap. It allows air in but keeps fluid from getting pushed out at the drive runs and heats up the oil. Mine was pushing fluid out the cap at high rpm but I had the little rubber piece missing. Spent $9 on a new cap and it solved the problem.

There's air trapped in the drive.
Leave it stored (trailer, marina, etc) with the drive trimmed all the way IN for a couple of days and maybe the air bubble will travel up and out.
If you can't get it to act right, then you might need to drain the lube from the bottom and refill from the bottom with a pump - drive trimmed in. That's the proper position to purge the air.

Can be the yoke seal. It's mixing water in the oil filing the bottle. Only way to check is to pull drive and look at seal.

Outdrive is off, seal is good (gonna replace it anyway) no water in oil..... I did notice that when i run it, there are little air bottles that come up sometimes, all the oil will get pushed out of reservoir.
