Weldcrane, Just had a thought....

Did you buy the Upper and lower at the same time New, or did you install a used SC lower to the new SCX upper?

I have already explained how I hope Imco takes care of you, but a used lower could have contaminated the new upper, and even if you say it did not, how is Imco to know that?

You might be the greatest guy around but unfortunately there are others who ruin it for the rest of us!

Good luck

The lowers are sc completely rebuilt by nopper marine when those uppers were installed and there is no wear on the lower gear set which has been completely torn down and cleaned from the upper case issue . Parts are in transit to Imco

I bet there are other stories like yours but not everyone is on oso. There also are some good stories about this drive also.

Just sucks there is no good answer for drives!
I think RIK might have a answer.

I understand why xr gears are soft, same as Richmond pro gears for a 9". Just sucks that's what it takes to make it work and can be very costly every couple years. I'd rather have a used wet sump 6 than rebuild these every other year at $4000 each
