thanks guys for all you commints.my friend that is a marine guy was not sure.he thought that the alliment was not as critticalas a bravo..just wanted to be sure.this is the first trs i have worked with.alot of people said that when time to put the drive back into the motor that it was gonea b a pain.with the help of a cherry picker,i was able to get it done in less than a hour.i guess i got lucky.should i try to close the gap at the top of the housing by lifting up on the motor,and then tighten every thing ,or jus let er eat?thanks.

Make sure the spring washer, and washers are stacked correctly. I also had an issue with that. Picklenjim was a great resource for me.

Not clear on what your asking. Sounds like you already have the drive on. Are you saying there is a gap at the top between the drive and housing now? Hope not. |

Those people that told you that have probably never worked on a TRS either. Alignement on a TRS has nothing to do with how hard it will be to get the drive on beings your plugging directly into the transmission. Alpha and Bravo MUST be perfectly aligned or you WILL have a problem getting the drive on.

If you are using the same mounts and setting it all up the same way as the previous engine was then I would just go with it. If you can lift the front some to help then go for it. I don't know if it will stay there though if your talking about just raising it with in the hole on the OS mounts.
