It sounds like a good plan to go to the 1.25" shaft. Do you have 1.5 gears in the lower?
A couple of options. You can go with an Imco 1.25" shaft and bearing carrier. If you have the 1.5 gears you can go with the Merc kit. It includes new gears, shaft, bearings, carrier and hub kit for the Bravo 1 prop. It is a decent package.
With the Imco or others, not sure you can get it in a kit, but worth checking. The Merc shaft wont fit the B1 lower gears. But it comes with XR lower gears.
The Imco shaft will fit the B1 gears. So all you need is the shaft, carrier/bearing, and hub kit.
Just checked on the Imco shaft, the hub adapter is extra.
They do have a 1 7/16" shaft that does come with the hub adapter and carrier, etc. It will fit the B1 lower gears also.
Lots of options.
I see no reason not to do one at a time accept that you lose a prop each time one of them break???
PM me if you want the part numbers for the Imco options.
Hope that helps.

Good to hear. Becareful when you screw in the retainer nut. The tool will hit the raised area where the drain plug is and ruin it in a hurry. You dont want to even touch it a little, so watch the tabs on the tool as it gets close to that raised area.
