chopper test
Went out today ,it was pretty cold 39 F and lots of rain this morning but cleared for a few hours this afternoon so got the boat and go testing as it could be the last time this year !
It came quite normal on plane slightly longer as whit the bravo so that s not bad as it have a blade less and felt good got it up to 91 mph @ 6000 rpm but at that point when trimming a bit more up the prop blows out . it gives quite a bit more bow lift as the boat is more out the water now so that s good and what I wanted but the 28 stock bravo 1 is still the fastest but that was whitout the 1" spacer . the next step I want to do is get the spacer out and look what that does ,as that was the fastest set up whit the 28 bravo . here s the vid of this afternoon not to good whit the phone  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-7zXThLDmY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5siFOX5p1I8 |
The boat looks really hooked up nice!! Is the bow where you want it in the video? looked good from here. Too much trim just puts the front of the nose cone down thus creating more drag right? Thank you for sharing !!

Boat is looking good have you thought about running a pro et? that would be 4 blade like the bravo 1 but be the profile of the chopper. I would be looking to get that prop if it were me. also Hoss props will be making chopper props for the blackhawk in the spring.

Interesting, I picked up an offshore outboard over-hub style 4 blade cleaver to run on an XR. I have often wondered why more people do not run small hub style props on bravo style drives.

However it run good no strange things and give the lift I wanted but the bravo was quicker so I think I go for a customized bravo from bblades . Professor, I have looked at it but I m a little afraid it will give to much stern lift ,will discuss it whit bblades . I wish someone have one to try but there are not many props available in europe ! yep I live in the wrong country ! |
