Probably I am miss something (I hope, I am "stick drive" fan!)? Perhaps 120# at Bravo1?
What's a zf got to do with a surface drive? Your looking at the wrong components to compare apple to apple.

There are surface drives large enough whereby the marine gear alone weight over 1,000 lbs. not relevant.

Hello;

Like I write, probably I miss something.

We have this:
- MSA drive 200#
- ZF 63A gearbox for shifting forward-rewerse 100#
All together bring 300# which is 180# more than Bravo.

Bravo it is drive and shifting transmission in one pcs and weight 120-130#

ADS 6 weight how much pounds together with shifting transmission?

Until today I was convinced on this:
- Bravo drive it is drive and transmission for shifting rewerse forward in one pcs.
- surface drives are drives with diferent reduction ratio, but for reverse-forward they all need separate shifting transmission.
Wrong information?

Bravos do shift internally and require no separate transmission.

208 lbs

This is the biggest reason why I am start with this questions!
I understand wery well why it is drive like Arneson better than Z drives and I simply did not understand why boat builders install Z drives on expencive, fast boats. (It is like Koenigseg car with bigg block or even worse!) I did not belive myself, that they do it only becouse of "marketing" reasons, it is unbelivable for me like technician, specially when I am look prices, which are perhaps better on Arneson side. This few questions and answers it is make me all much more clear. It is still incredible, but I am learn why.

Next questions will be more specific and will send it by pm.
Sorry if it is perhaps looking like joke, I did never joke there, just language troubles.

If and when you ever buy a set, you will NEVER have an issue with customer service. I bought a boat with a used set Jan 2012, and every service question or problem was handled directly by Rik. Thanks again ps He takes American Express!
