Alpha and alpha gen 2 lowers interchangeable?

Ok I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm sure the answer is probably no...Can a gen II lower be installed on a first gen Alpha drive? If not can a gen 2 outdrive be installed on a first gen gimbal?

First gen will fit on a Gen 2 bellhousing with some simple mods. I've done it, Alpha SS on a Gen 2 gimble.
