you want to change from 25 spline asd8 to 26 spline mercruiser ?
I use 25 spline asd8 too and have been thinking this over ,cause of availability of props in 26 spline.

Thats correct i try to find 26 spline data to make the new shafts.

Other plan is to change 25 tooth inside the merc 26 props.
I have pair 35" 26 spline props wich maybe goes
under spline job.

I,have thought this over many times ,my brother worked with edm and zincarc machine,s ,he said he could wire cut the splines out of the center of the prop in lets say a 2 inch round (given or take ) then broots or zinc arc cut the 26 spline out of a solid piece stainless ,wire cut it a fraction bigger than the hole in the prop and use a shrink method to clamp the center in the prop ,and TIG weld it .. My brother said he had to spend a little time to properly cut the splines out the prop,so the hole is exactly in the center to have the prop in balance.

I have a company who say they can make new shafts but
now they measure that shafts are so long that they dont fit their machine.
I have other possibility companies too but maybe other time, now i think to leave shaft job.

Yes thats quite same than we think to make the prop spline job.
Its risky when propeller mid tube is so thin. We have few tricks for that.
Let see what happend.
