Default Trim questions

Trouble shooting some stuff one trim pump I hook from pos bat to blue works good to green works fine but nothing at that shifter at all trailer up button doesn't work either!! Ok other trim pump hook pos battery try blue arks bad does nothing same with green switch or trailer up doesn't work either. Any ideas how to solve this mess?? Thanks

The one trim pump that arks bad when you hook pos to either terminal on the pump motor, that motor is probably no good and the windings on the motor are toast.

The other trim pump that you say doesn't work with the trim on throttle or trailer button did you check the fuse by the trim pump solenoids? If you don't have 12v from there to the switches it won't activate the solenoid. That would be the first place of look. It should have an inline fuse sending the 12v to the switch (including trailer switch)

If that pump is locked up would that drain the batteries???

No I don't feel that a locked up pump motor would drain the batteries unless that the solenoid was stuck on but that would be obvious. I have to ask is the pump fused? If it is properly fused or has a ckt breaker inline then it should blow the fuse if you try and activate the pump.
