I know volvo made a speed drive for this series of drives, but that it is impossible, and expensive, to find. Are there any modifications that can be done to the drive itself? I saw something where the skeg could be modified, but can't find that information any more. I just bought a rebuilt 280 and want to get it painted up, but if there are any modifications I would like to do that first. It's going on a 1971 xk 22 with a 400hp 383. Thanks for any help
