Default Water leaking on alpha drive

I replaced the impeller in one of my alpha one gen1 drives a few month ago. I find out there was less water out of the exhaust as on the other engine. Now boat is out of water, i used my flushing"ears" to run engine and see that. Lot of water coes out ofthe dran plug in the lower unit. I seems there is a leakage. As i fitted th water pump i was surprised that there was a quad ring which is positioned on top of the water housing, but no o-seal in the top of the housing or beetwen the pastic housing and stainless steel impeler housing. Now there is. Leakage where the ain shaft goes through the impeller top housing . In y opnion there must e. O-seal but the drawing says no :-(((
Any ideas ?

Thanks

Dan
