Default Question about counter rotating #6 drives in twin engine setup

I have always been either a bravo or imco guy and I was just thinking about how #6 drives are set up to have a left hand and right hand turning prop? Is one tranny is fwd and the other in reverse to achieve counter rotating props?

the engines and transmissions are standard rotation, the internals of the drive are different so one output turns one way and the other drives output turns the other.
