Went to the boat today and put on my drive showers and tie bar. That went well, but when I got to the boat I found some drive lube dripping out of the propellers on the port side. I checked the drive lube reservoir and it was pretty much empty. It had been running fine last we used it, but obviously there is something going on.
I suspect this is going to suck.
Any idea what gives?

Oops.... I assume it's a bravo III on the SS? No plug there, right.
I'd say you're looking at propshaft seals. Hopefully the shaft is still in good shape. Sometimes they get a Groove worn in them, and a shaft replacement will certainly suck. Time to pull the props and take a look. Good luck !

Thanks.
Prop pulling to start soon! Looks like my mechanic will have a shopping list of fix-its to keep him busy this winter.
