Somebody was asking about fixing knicks and scratches on the skeg, I did some sanding and shaping on mine this weekend. Boat always seems to run better afterwards.

The tools, Festool sander and vac with 100-400 grit paper, honestly it is pretty smooth with just the 100 but I had the others so why not use them.

Finished:







If you don't have a Festool and are using a regular sander, you might want to start with a higher grit than 100 the Festool paper leaves a really nice finish. For some reason both drives have much thicker powdercoat on the port sides, and Wilson is right these things are far from perfect from the factory. I only get about 1 mph extra out of this but my boat only goes 57.
