Default Question about TRS pinion bearing

First time breaking into a TRS so maybe it's a silly question. When I removed the vertical shaft from the lower gear case with a slide hammer all of the rollers for the pinion bearing fell out. I assume this is by design since this bearing appears to have no inner race and the rollers ride directly on the verticle shaft. What's the process for re-assembly? Do I coat the rollers with some grease to get them to stay in place while I re-install the vertical shaft?

Thanks
Jim

Check the race out make sure it isn't cracked or worn.
