Inexpensive enough to change a couple of times a season to check for any metals in the oil. Comes out a Pretty clear Red each time changed over the past few years. Was turned on to it by the late Brad Smith, SMITH POWER and will never change.

This is why I love this site. I am totally going to try that stuff. For that price I will change it weekly. And it would be worth it.

I think thats what I am gonna use this year Kurt. I know you said you liked it. I've always been a fan of Mobil products too.

This got me thinking as i need to fill both drives and will probably change the fluids in my Duramax also seeing how I'll be trailering this season. Just found a local shop that has the Mobil 75-80 in quarts for the normal $12 and 75-140 in 5 gal pail for $180. Do you think there would be an added benefit to running the 75-140 in this situation?

Not sure why anyone would be surprised by results using MYSTIC? Very high quality lubricant company. I use their greases exclusively. Thanks for sharing! Brad was a bright guy and left a void when he passed, however his legacy will live on forever and keep this sport we all cherish going strong for years to come.

Joking aside, I did just put it in. I also bought the Severe Gear 190 and I might even try it in a few weeks. It is a cool electric green color. If 140 is good, 190 has to be better right?

Not busting your ballz, but just be careful using a 190wt. Channeling and other ill effects like resistance to flow in a given tolerance can actually increase wear. Heavier isn't always better. 140 shouldn't be a problem, but I wouldn't go any heavier. Up to you, but up to a point there is no gain.

I love the mystik greases. I use the Red grease for my truck grease jobs, and the green grease for my boat trailer. Plus the farm store near my lake house always has it crazy cheap! Like 1.89 a tube sometimes.

I saw that. I was at the one in oswego last week, they had 15w40 diesel oil, on sale, 39.99 per 5 gallon bucket. Thats a great deal. If i get out there this week im gonna get me some.

yep Mystik motor oil and gear oil, been using in the shop for over 2 years now, not a problem and worth the price as so far.about 400 boats have it without any problems that I have changed. O'Reillys just had a 8 qt / jug on sale for 24.99 for the motor oil15 - 40. I think something of Citgo oil is in Mystik oil products. No 100 % sure but do I know merc motor oils are made by Citgo and the merc premium gear oil is made by Citgo as well.
