Default Alpha 1 transom plate

Can anyone tell me if the inner transom plate on a Alpha 1 gen 2 is the same as a bravo inner transom plate. I have heard both ways.

yes, i just hooked a 2000 bravo 3 inner to a 90 gen 1 alpha outer. the gen 2 alpha transom assy is essentially bravo castings. i have to plug 2 holes in the transom just above the alpha outer, because the gen 1 alpha housing is shorter. but everything on the inside lines up. used the bravo steering actuator, but the alpha fits in there the same way. but yours is probably later style anyway.
